Baby Led Weaning - Raw vegetable ideas for 7mo

I'm currently BLW my 7m baby girl - I want to integrate lots of raw vegetables in her diet so she gets the important ezymes (which are not present in cooked veggies[

What raw vegetables can eat for her age (other than cucumber, avocado?[ I understood that carrot sticks are out due to choking hazard...

I'd only give cucumber at that stage, because of the choking hazard as you say. I seem to remember giving raw peppers around 12m and a friend's baby eating sugar snap peas around that stage too. Best of luck, such a lovely time.

I don’t know if this is ‘right’ or not but my son loved raw tomatoes and raw peppers from very early on. How about grated carrots so that they don’t pose a choking hazard….?

Solid starts has an amazing food database with safe food preparation by age. At 7m any food should be squashable between your fingers, so avocados and the inside of cucumbers is fine but the hard outer bit poses more risk.

Mine had bell peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, spinach. A lot of it ended up on the floor.

Lightly steam it - very little goodness lost that way. As long as they can be squashed - carrot sticks, green beans, tender stem broccoli, cauliflower florettes etc.
They eat so little at that age it just about getting them interested in lots of different flavours/textures
