early weaning - DD LOVES food. Do I give as much as she wants?

I have just started giving purees and the occasional veg baton/bit of banana/mango to my 23 week DD and she LOVES every single thing i give her and actually makes "mmmmm" noises when she tries out new things

She finishes absolutely everything within minutes and I'm pretty suire she'd happily eat quite big portions, but I'm worried about letting her fill up on food so early on and reducing milk feeds

When should i start letting her have bigger portions and how much milk does she need at this stage (she is ff)? I know food is meant just for fun for the first year - i wasn't expecting her to take to it so well. She never licked a few bits off a spoon, like it says in all the books - she was straight in there wolfing it down, with her mouth open for the next spoonful as soon as the last one went in...

I would let her eat as much as she wants unless she is reducing her milk intake too much. Really she needs to be having a minimum of 20 oz of milk a day, as long as she is happy doing this then let her eat what she wants. i'd hate someone limiting my food!! lol!

really? just 20oz of milk? i never knew that - in that case i'm not worried in the least and will increase food, as she easily has this

thanks, meandmyjoe
