This probably a dumb question but is my 7 month old ds old enough to eat meat?
My HV told me not to give him any at first but I can't remember when she said it was ok.
We are doing a mixture of puree and blw so thought i would give him some chicken to gum.
I am sure it wasn't this complicated with ds1!
thanks

i gave my ds fish and mash at this age and blended chicken so it should be perfectly fine the jar foods for this age have meat in

CorrieDale · 19/05/2008 18:22

Yes. After 6 months they can have everything other than honey, peanuts (if you're worried about allergies, hayfever, eczema, etc), and milk as a drink. Meat is fine.

oh yes, plenty old enough

no need to avoid anything except nuts, honey, shellfish and choky things like grapes

I second Mrs.Badger and Corrie, it's definately fine to give meat at this age.
