What’s foods did you first wean your baby on? And how did you prepare the food?
Major brain fart, I can’t think right now😂

Thank you

I just gave them a bit of whatever we were having minus salt.

eg

breakfast - weetabix or porridge or yogurt as spoon food, fruit and toast as finger food

lunch - soup as spoon food , a bit of cheese and cucumber as finger food

dinner - mash and gravy as spoon food with meat and veg as finger food

We did vegetables then moved to fruits. Just blended up smooth, I put these in an ice cube tray and frozen them too. Did this for the first month then moved onto other foods

We did baby led weaning, so pretty much everything and anything, just no honey and low salt. Toast, porridge fingers, pancakes, omelette, cheese and crackers, fruit. Most dinners we cook are homemade so for dinner it was whatever we were having. Generally with finger foods you want to serve in strips or batons and make sure harder things like carrots are steamed until soft, but there's lots of information online about how to prepare and serve certain foods.

Same, we started with veg and fruit purees as we weaned at 17 weeks (on HV advice). By 6 months he was eating the same as us.

Some bits of broccoli and carrot for their very first food. Then mostly what we were having. Bits of chicken or fish, pasta, risotto. A lot of porridge for breakfast I recall. And yoghurt.

I was scared to do BLW until he pinched a bit of my toast one day, game changer lol

DC1 lovingly prepared apple puree.

DC2 grabbed a sandwich and scoffed it so quickly we couldn’t get it back before it was gone!
