BF baby (16 weeks) waking up loads at night - when do I start weaning???

DS2 is 16 wks old. Should really remember from last time, but you know how it is!!

Had a long spell of sleeping from 7pm-3am, waking to feed and then sleeping through til 7 am. During the last 2-3 weeks he's starting waking 2, 3 or more times in the night after being put down at 7 pm - usually around midnight and 3am.

Seems to be no other reason than for milk. I don't mind this too much - I'm not too tired (relatively ) and it means not having to express before bed, but I'm just starting to think should I offer him some solids??!

Don't have a problem holding off for a few more weeks but just not sure.

DS1 started with a spoonful or two of veg at around this age but I'm not in any hurry to wean now just because of that - apart from the waking I've not felt he's desperately in need.

What do you think??

Keep offering milk, growth spurt at 16 weeks is perfectly normal,

Not recommended to wean until 6 months now it'll pass promise!

what FAQ said - much sympathy though, Ella's now at the 'pick a window, you're leaving' stage of the 4 month growth spurt, but by now (4dc's)I'm well used to it - it'll pass!
