What are your weaning babies’ feeding schedules like?

Just curious when and what you normally feed your babies!

At the minute by 7.5 month old typically has…

  • 6.30/7am breastfeed
  • 7.30/8 breakfast - porridge or yoghurt with fruit
  • 9am breastfeed or bottle
  • 10.30am breastfeed
  • 12.30pm lunch - usually some sort of mixed veggies or eggs
  • 1.30pm breastfeed
  • 3.30pm breastfeed
  • 5.30/6 dinner - a mixture of meat/fish and veggies. Sometimes a little fruit or pancake or custard or something to finish
  • 7 breastfeed or bottle

My LO prefers to have frequent very short breastfeeding sessions without taking lots of milk at once (my supply has really dropped). He eats BIG portions at mealtimes and needs the bottle a few times per day to get a good quantity of milk. He’s also not mad about water yet so I think he likes to feed from me for hydration!

I’m aiming to start switching to bottle feeds throughout the day and just breastfeed first thing in the morning and last thing before bed… don’t know if my supply will be sufficient for this or just disappear when I stop the daytime feeds but that’s the plan!

What do your feeding routines look like?
