Toast for 6mth old - what kind of bread?

Just thinking about giving DS some toast as finger food. He's been weaning for almost 2 weeks. Can I give him wholemeal bread or has it got to be white?

no wholemeal is fine

I always gave wholemeal but avoided anything too seedy/bitty for a while.

thanks - glad I don't have to buy white bread - if I did i'd just end up eating it all myself - very naughty!

dd was fine on the seedy stuff (made it easy to tell from the nappy how much had gone in too )
