How much should a 9 month old be having?

Currently giving my EBF 9 month old 3 meals a day and no snacks. I've only recently introduced breakfast as she's only just turned 9 months, before that she had two meals a day.

A typical day will look like:

Breakfast: wheetabix and milk, pancakes and fruit at the weekend

Lunch: spinach and cheese omelette, toast with an assortment of toppings (egg, avocado, peanut butter, banana, etc), or a picky lunch of something like shredded chicken, hummus, cucumber, bread, cheese sticks etc. Often a sugar free yoghurt after. Sometimes baby porridge with fruit mashed in it I'm in a rush.

Tea: usually whatever we have, so typical things are spag bol, pesto pasta with green veggies, chilli, sausages mash and veg, sweet potato wedges, salad and bunless burger, fish, chips and mushy peas,

She eats all her breakfast. Lunch is hit and miss depending what it is. She usually eats a lot at tea.

She breastfeeds probably breastfeeds about 4-5 times a day, and typically once overnight.

Is she getting enough?? Should I be adding snacks yet? I find it all so confusing with how much to give! She's my first baby.

Honestly at just 9 months that sounds about right! It sounds similar to what my baby is getting, now 10 months. When you baby is BF, it's hard to tell how they are having compared to formula (which I have now transitioned to) so not a perfect comparison. My baby is 10mo and has formula at 9am, 3pm and 7pm. Meals are very similar to what you are giving at 7am, midday and 5pm.

I found that dropping the wake up BF improved appetite for breakfast (8 months for us), and I had to drop the 11am bottle to improve appetite for lunch. You might want/need to swap round the order of BFing and lunch now that your LO is 9 months to see if they eat slightly more and feed slightly less - but at this age that's more of a preference for you.
