6.5m ds really reluctant to have solids.....

DS began having solids at about 5m but rally has not progressed at all. I am lucky if I manage to get 1 meal inside each day. He's just not that keen on food. He prefers banana to anything else and pears and avocado are not so bad. No to carrot, parsnip and sweet potato unless I have mixed with banana!

I'm not really panicking as dd (who is now 2.11) was never a great eater and although better she does not have a huge appetite, but it would be nice to stop throwing so much food away.

Should I stop trying to feed him 3 times a day or persevere?

well whatever you do don't force the issue

offer him finger foods and let him go at his own pace

oh god, at 6.5m offer him anything off your plate (except, er, honey, shellfish and chokey things like whole grapes or nuts)

toast is fine, or dd was fond of steak at that age...

Funnily enough, this afternoon he ate half a plum which I was eating! Looks like I am going the BLW way then.......
