My DS is 7 months old and we’re currently on 2 meals a day. Our current routine is

7 wake up and milk
8.15 breakfast
9-9.30 nap
10.30 milk
12-2 nap
2.30 milk
4ish short nap
5 dinner
6.30 milk and bedtime routine

we will be moving naps in line with wake windows but:

I’m aware we need to start building in lunch but at the moment I have baby classes/go out for the day after the 10.30 feed. DS will always take his lunch nap in the cot on our way home (pls don’t suggest cot naps he simply won’t do it)

when would you do lunch?! I really don’t want to be stuck in the house all morning because of lunch but struggling with what time I could fit it in.

any guidance much appreciated xx

At 7months there's no rush for a 3rd meal. You could try a small.snack before the 12pm nap. A yoghurt, mashed banana,etc

Take something with you to the baby group - don’t worry if it’s something light such as banana

Agree with PPs. Baby is so little, lunch isn’t a biggie so do a snack before or after the buggy nap. I’d really work on those cot naps though or you’re in for a long couple of years

Offering food 3 times a day isn't advised till they're between 8 and 9 months and then you're supposed to take the baby's lead. I wouldn't worry about it just yet Wink

Thanks everyone really put my mind at rest! We have tried cot naps but he will only do half an hour at a time so just ends up being really over tired were a little bit stuck tbh! And most of my baby classes seem to be right before lunch so he’ll fall asleep on the way home (we walk everywhere)

I used to just let mine sleep in the way home and feed them when they woke. For me getting out and having done adult conversation was importsnt Wink
