Time to stop formula for 14 month old?

Hi all - my DD is 14 mo (but should be 11 months - she arrived very early!) and is on three meals a day plus snacks. For context, sometimes she eats more, sometimes less. We've just had a phase of nursery bugs and she went off drinking water, but she seems to have come out of that

Anyway, throughout I have been making 4/5oz bottles first thing, one at 7:30pmish when she goes to be and one at about 11pm. She's only ever rarely finished them. Guess I have been a bit scared to stop the latter two too in case it affects her sleeping.

But for the last few days, she has point blank refused to drink any of the bottles. I was going to wait until she was technically 12 months before stopping the formula (so only a few more weeks), but is this her telling me to stop bothering? And if she's not drinking anything at 11pm anyway, should I just scrap that? Think I might have annoyed her with trying to give her bottles so she generally just screams when she sees them!

Finding it hard when you have everything sussed and they suddenly jump to the next stage! Single mum too in a new area where I don't know anyone, so haven't got anyone to ask....

It’s recommended to be off bottles by the age of 1, so yes, stop the bottles.

She can still have milk if you want, although not completely necessary, but cows milk in a straw cup or an open cup is fine.

I'm not sure with Premature babies. I k ow the weaning advice can be very different so you might be best asking in the Premature Section, under "Being a Parent".

And I totally get that you're worried about her sleep but how about stopping the 11pm feed and seeing if she wakes naturally?

Hi all - thanks for your messages! Just wanted to post for an update in case anyone has a similar issue in future.
I decided to totally cut out the formula (including the 11pm feed) as DD wasn't drinking any anyway. And.....she's fine! Generally is sleeping very well (managed 8-7 last night, although she woke up here and there, mainly because she has a cough). I have learned my lesson - listen to her!

That's such a lovely update and I hope she gets over her cough soon Flowers
