high chair recommendation

looking for a high chair as weaning is on the horizon! ideally this would:

  • fold down
  • easy to clean
  • not an assault on the eyes

would love something wooden but dont have the room for a tripp trapp!

The Ikea one - fail proof. Not collapsable but to be honest - it'll be out 24/7 anyway

A second vote for the ikea one. Don’t waste any more time thinking about it!

Thirding the IKEA one. Honestly, there's a reason most restaurants have the IKEA chair. It's cheap, easy to clean and does the job perfectly. No point getting one you can fold away as it's something you'll use so frequently.

I would get the Tripp trapp.
You still need space to store a folding one, and the Tripp trapp just replaces a dining chair.
Ds still uses his daily at 4 years. It’s so good as safe for him to use against kitchen counters to help us with food prep, bake, wash up if wants. It’s used for 3 Meals a day but also for all drawing, play dough, painting, puzzles or Lego at table. So it would be a huge paint folding a chair away.

He didn’t fit in the Ikea ones in restaurants after about 15 months, would just climb out.

The Joie mimzy is excellent.

would go ikea but when I say I dont have the space - I really really dont have the space!!
@Caspianberg can you use the tripp trapp as a toddler tower or have I misread??

@Marzipan23 - we do. Once you take the baby bar off the front around 2 years it’s like a really safe ladder for them, just like a toddler tower.

And another. I have one Antilops I bought new, and a second hand one that lives at my parents' place.
