DD only wants to eat toast

She is 8 months old, we've been doing BLW since she was 6 months old. She loves toast and I've been putting things like mashed banana and avocado on it, or on ricecakes, which she also loves. But I want to give her more variety as far as cereals are concerned.

Are there any dry breakfast cereals that are suitable for her to pick up? On Kellymom they recommend Cheerios but perhaps the recipe in the US is different - here they seem to have added sugar and salt.

Another issue: she throws most sticks of veg (even yummy roasted veg) on the floor. I was seriously considering mashing sweet potato and putting that on toast, earlier today!

I love veg so am dismayed that already she is showing a distinct preference for non-veg food. I suppose I will continue to offer sticks of steamed veg. At least she loves broccoli so I suppose I can stop worrying about her not eating any veg. More variety would be nice though. She will eat most soft fruit.

Any tips?

you can get no sugar cheerio-a-likes in Waitrose or health shops, or try mini shredded wheat

otherwise smear everything else, inc veg, on toast/ricecakes/crackerwheat etc
