Help baby won’t take a bottle or be put down

I really need some advice. I have a 3 month old who is exclusively breastfeeding, he would occasionally take a bottle with breast milk and would use a dummy. A few weeks ago he had a tongue tie fix and now refuses a bottle and dummy and is constantly attached to my breast using me as a dummy. I can’t get him to take a bottle ideally of formula but even breast milk and he will only sleep in my arms. He wakes every hour during the night and barely naps I am getting about 3 hours of broken sleep a night. I can’t keep this up. Any advice on how to get him to take a bottle?

Have you tried different bottles? And also have you tried someone else to feed your baby the bottle? With my eldest at first he would only take the bottle if someone else was giving it to them.

I would go back and get him assessed for TT again. If that's not possible try a Tongue Tie Practitioner.

My first had an undiagnosed TT and was very similar, only would slept in me or in my arms and fed every hour or so. DH sometimes took him out for a drive in the middle of the night just so I ciukd have an hours sleep.

Just wanted to add that you can try Cup Feeding to see if he will take some extra.

Have you tried calling one of the BFing Helplines? Is there a BFing Support Group locally that you can get to as well?

Feeding lying down at night might help if you're not doing that already and have you tried some Breast Compressions?
