My little one has just started weaning but seems to get distracted quickly and becomes uninterested. Ive heard that incorporating a familiar toy into meal time can help bridge the gap and make things fun. Has anyone every tried this?

I get my baby to eat when we eat - she has been trying to grab our food, so having some finger food of her own (and something we soon feed) seems to work. Is your baby interested in your food?

I wouldn't introduce a toy personally. At first it's just about exploring taste and texture so if you're offering puree or mashed food, offer some sort of finger food on the side for them to explore.

It doesn't really matter if they don't eat much yet Wink
