I make up porridge for DS (7mo) with full-fat cow's milk. He only has a tiny bit of porridge (a few tbsps) and he's having plenty of formula otherwise - he has way more than the recommended pint minimum. But HV said that I should really only be using formula to mix up food at this point- but that's rubbish, surely?! I feel confident in using cow's milk in this way and have completely ignored what she told me, but just wondered what others thought. It seems so well-known that cow's milk is fine in cooking from 6mo, so I can't imagine why she said that... fine if he weren't having much formula, but he has tons of the stuff!
