Stokke tripp trapp highchair- buy second one or pass it down?

Had one of these highchairs for DS1 and have been really pleased with it.
DS1 is 2.6 now and still uses it but without the restraints or tray (so just a higher up chair really)
Am going to need a highchair for Ds2 in a couple of months and am not sure whether to turf DS1 out of his and pass it on ar whether to keep it and get a second one as DS1 likes being higher up on it so he can reach the table easily...

Anyone with older children still using theirs as a chair? Is it still comfy as they get even older?

I thought we'd get another one since our middle child still uses his (3.5 yo). But actually it suddenly seemed to expensive right now (3 kids - argh!) so we bought a 10 pound IKEA one instead. Haven;t ruled it out though
