How to cook baby pasta stars?

Hi I wanted some advice on how to cook baby pasta stars (the Sainsbury’s one).

Obviously I know how to cook pasta of course but on the method it doesn't give instructions on how to cook a smaller sized portion of pasta.

I prefer to cook fresh and just wanted advice on how much water to cook the pasta in and how much pasta to put in and for how long.

Advice much appreciated thanks Blush

The pack says 1 litre per 90g of pasta so I'd just do 500ml for 45g etc

It's really difficult to cook single tiny portions. It's much easier to cook multiples and freeze/reheat.

Hi thanks I will try that Grin

It doesn't matter how much water, if there's too much you're wasting energy boiling it all but it doesn't affect the pasta. Just make sure enough to cover it. I've never measured pasta water.

And just boil for a bit then try a couple and leave them on if they seem too hard still. You don't need timings, just try them.

I make these all the time for DS and it couldn’t be easier.
No need to measure water, just add however much you want in a small pan, cover with boiled water (enough to cover the pasta and some excess) and cook for 6/7mins so it’s nice a soft. Drain off the water, add to a bowl, drizzle a bit of oil to stop them sticking and you’re done. Easy!
