Allergy or contact reaction

Weaning 4 weeks now developed over the last few days only around face where food would have gotten while self feeding. Thoughts appreciated thank you

@PolaroidPrincess I was using wipes but I did change to soft face cloths today cause I did wonder of it would be sensitive skin either!

Most likely contact reaction if it's the only symptom. Any difficulty breathing, other obvious symptoms?

My DD got this with tomatoes quite badly, also strawberries and acidic fruits. 'Nightshade' vegetables are also big culprits. Don't stop offering them, just maybe in smaller amounts so they can build up a tolerance. You could also try a barrier cream on the affected area before eating.

@Edenmum2 no she's in great mood no other symptoms or rash anywhere else! Actually she had tomato based meal this evening and she was self feeding perhaps this aggravated it! Many thanks

Is she teething too? My LO hasn’t started food yet but is teething and this looks like his dribble rash
