Erm, so does this sound about the right balance of food/BM for a 9 month old...?

This is what she is doing at the moment:

BF at about 5am

Breakfast (not much) at about 7.30/8am

BF at about 9.30am

few little munches on the odd breadstick, rice cake, dried fruit etc. until about

12pm - lunch (not much)

BF at about 1.30pm

Then I'm not sure what to do for the best...

she is not hungry until about 5pm - should I BF then or give tea? If I give her BF then I have nothing much to offer her at bedtime (7pm) and she eats virtually nothing at tea. If I don't BF and just give her tea, she eats plenty and has a really good feed at 7pm.

She also wakes for a BF at about 10pm.

So whaddya reckon, about right?

She is BLW by the way - and the 9.30am and 1.30pm BFs are just before her naps so she has a really good feed on both sides as she dozes off.

Sounds fine to me, DS was still having quite a lot of bm at 9 months, then really took off with food at about 10 months (BLW too).

I think as long as she is getting bm before food you will be ok. If you are totally blw her I don't think she can stuff herself to the point of dropping too many feeds.

I would go with dinner at 5pm and bf before bed at 7pm as that seems to suit you both.
