How soon after weaning did baby drop a bottle

Just wondering - how soon after starting weaning did your little ones drop a milk feed? Little one has been on porridge in a morning for a few weeks and has had some puree/fruit in the afternoons for a couple of days. I don't know if it's the heat, teething or he's just not as hungry today but he hasn't drunk as much milk as usual. He usually has between 8-9oz, 5 times a day but today he's had a 6.5oz and 7oz. Just wondering how I'll know whether to drop a feed or not.

As much as I'd love for him to drop to 4 bottles convenience wise, I already stress about whether he's had enough as it is.

Advice please 😊

How old is he @GeorgesMummy5224?

Presuming he's under 1 don't drop any bottles. He's probably a bit fussy as it's so hot and will make up for it when the temperature drops.

He's 6 months old now.

Of course I don't want to take it off him if he's still taking it. I already worry about him having enough as it is so as long as he wants it he can have it. I was just wondering how I will know if he wants to drop a bottle? Will it be obvious?

Yes, he will regularly refuse not just the odd day here and there as food becomes his main intake.

I think you'll know when they want to drop a bottle.

What you're aiming for is to introduce offering solids 3 times a day between 8 and 9 months as per current NHS guidelines and by 10 months they should be having around 13.5 (400 ml) of formula a day.
