Does this look like an egg allergy?

Hello, I tried my 6 month old with egg for the first time today, only a teeny amount, I'm not even sure if any was swallowed, but 4 hours later this small rash has appeared. It might be completely unrelated, does anyone have any experience, assumed any reactions to food would appear immediately? Thank you in advance!

Hi, this photo was taken about 6 hours after my baby had egg for the first time.
I also assumed that a reaction would happen straight away as that's what everything I read said, so thought it couldn't be that. The next time I gave her a little bit more she had a full instant reaction and has now been diagnosed with an egg allergy and we carry medication.
Everyone thought I was being dramatic thinking it was the egg, but I wish I had been more cautious when I gave it the next time and given only a taster just to test it again, instead she had quite a lot of scrambled egg 😩 it was awful, so maybe just try a taster next week and see if it happens again.

@Buttercup2023 oh wow, that's really good to know thank you so much, I'll be cautious when we next try it.

Any other symptoms OP? Wink

With all allergies the first time it’s eaten isn’t a problem. It’s the second where it can get dangerous with a proper allergy. Does look suspicious, like Pp said try again in a few days with a small amount

@RappersNeedChapstick no other symptoms, he's been his usual happy self this afternoon/evening and the rash hasn't got worse x

@Georgethecat1 thank you for the info, will try again in a few days and see! X
