And if I can't go straight to pureed veg, how many days should I wait?

both my kids hated the baby rice so we went straight onto puree veg etc. They also liked the banana porridge

Smiling you can do it however you want , however my recommendation is to wait a few weeks and skip the whole puree/baby rice stage and give baby led weaning a try.

I would defo recommend it, but if you don't fancy it I would skip the baby rice and do purees. There are no rules really, just follow your baby's lead. I would try and hold off for as long as possible though, from a health point of view, but also from a laziness point of view.

Weaning IME is like crawling in that you can't wait for it to happen and when it does you fairly quickly wish it hadn't and wish that you could go back!
