DD 7.5 mths DH and myself are off to wedding for a few days and am going to give DD more jars than usual as away from stocked freezer! Shes not a fan of them and I am wondering if she has a few days without usual meals will it do any harm am v. anxious first time mum btw. Any advice appreciated.

I doubt very much it would harm her, some babies eat nothing but jars!
However at 7.5months she could quite easily eat some of your food if she wasn't too impressed with the jars, she certainly won't need them pureeing or mashing.
Hope you have a great time.
Try not to worry.

Am more worried about the not eating very much rather than jars. DH says he is going to put worried to death on my headstone!

At this age my LO was a huge fan of croissants and garlic bread, bagels etc. all good things that can fill them up if you are worried about her starving.

Other normal food that smallies can generally handle is spag bol or scrambled egg (although you may need to hold off on egg at this age, not sure).

I used to find that even some of the kids menus can be used for babies (eg. pasta and cheese / pasta and tomato sauce. (I would just ask for it with no salt) Bit of pizza to chew on?

Also, if you are a pureed / mashed kinda person normally, you might find that if you are in a hotel they will actually also do that for you if you want (e.g pick something off the kids menu and get it whizzed a bit)

You could ask the hotel to do bowls of steamed veg for her, thats all DS wanted at that age but its easy enough to order.

You sound like me lilemer but i have recently given my DS the odd jar of food when out. Could you also not try bananas that can easily be mashed and rice cakes, toast slices etc?

Like others have said, shouldn't need jars. My DD is 6.5 months and when out just has a bit of what im having...
