9 month DS wants to only eat fruit not savoury food

DS is slowly going off savoury food to the point now that if I give me anything savoury he just yells. We struggle through each feed time and he does eat quite a bit but complains all the way. As soon as fruit appears he is all laughing and can't get enough - how I can encourage him to enjoy savoury food again.

offer it as finger food?
often the novelty is enough

Don't give him any sweet stuff at all? i.e. there's no choice in the matter, that's all that is on offer.

It's not surprising really as most kids seem to prefer sweet to savoury IME

DS2 did this at weaning, we used to mix a bit of fruit puree or juice into his savoury food, then gradually reduce the amount until he would take it almost without.

By about 14/15 months we didn't have to do it any more.

It's not too much of a problem, because we are programmed to like sweet things. As long as the sugar is not refined, i.e from fruit or sweet veg, it won't be bad for him.
