Weaning and teething

Need a rant.

I'm so done with weaning alongside bad bouts of teething pain. At dinner tonight DS (9 months) was refusing tomato and chicken that he happily ate for the last two days. Tried some bits of stewed apple as finger food. Refused.
Then tried a bottle. Refused

I'm just done with feeling frustrated and anxious that he's not getting enough food/formula intake while his teething is bothering him. (yes, we're using Calpol, teething gel and teether)

I think it's pretty normal, if a little hard to deal with sometimes. If he's in that much pain I'd give him a cuddle and maybe read a story. He will catch up with his calories once he's feeling a bit better.

Have you tried Ibruprofen too? It's much better for dental pain than Calpol Flowers

Sorry @Lemonandginger1 I forgot to ask how you're both getting on today? Hopefully a little better? Wink

Yea, my little one has been a horrendous eater since teeth starting coming in 3 months ago. Now 11 months and I dread meals times

My little one is 20mo and in 6 weeks had 5 teeth break through and you can see that he's lost weight because he just barely eats when teething. As a pp said definitely neurofen to stop the inflammation. Am counting down the days for when he's got all of his teeth as I'm sick of the stress of him not eating 😭
