What do you give your baby when out?

I was wondering what you give your baby (mines 10mo) when you're out? My dd hates anything out of a jar, and you cant heat up home made food, so what can I give her?

Would love to hear your suggestions.

Whatever you are eating?

I also usually carry a banana, some rice cakes, a fruit pot (just in case)

sandwiches, yoghurt, rice cakes, fruit, etc..... I try and give a main meal at home before or after the trip out.

We used to go with a selection of the following

cold pasta spirals, cheese sticks, breadsticks, cold sliced sausage, sweetcorn, cucumber sticks

sliced fruit, yoghurts, raisins, rice cakes with philadelphia/hummus

I used a shallow wide necked thermos flask, or one of ths little insulated picnic bags to keep things fresh.

usually the crusts off my sandwich and a banana or pear

finger food much better than slop when out.

Thanks for your suggestions, guess I should have thought of those things myself.

Onlyaphase - can you give little babies sausages, thought they were to salty or something??

You can get some sausages aimed at children - think Sainsbury's stocks them - and they are yummy and lowish in salt. Will find link

like these ones

Haven't got the nutritional info to hand but they are less salty I think, provided you don't give them the whole pack in one go!
