My ds2, 8 months, breastfed until a few weeks ago but with the occasional bottle for a few months, will not drik a drop of water. He spits it out as if it were th most horrendous thing in the world...
He was weaned at 5 months and eats 3 meals a day and snacks, ioncluding meat and fish. Does he need water? He has about 500 mls of milk a day too.
ds1 loved water and I remember him drinking a lot at this age. Thanks!

My DD wouldn't drink water at this age, but would by the age of 1. Was being breastfed so I suppose I fed her a bit more often than I would have if she was drinking water. Don't really know the answer, but I suppose if he seems hydrated it is probably ok. My DC1 drank water at this age so couldn't understand why she wouldn't drink any. She loves it now though (at 18 months).
