Can chickpeas be frozen once pureed?

have a tin of organic chick peas which i assume are cooked. my questions are

  • can i puree them, add them to my vegetable mix and then freeze?
  • if so, when i defrost the mixture can i heat up? as that will mean heating the chickpeas again so affectively reheating? any advice much appreciated Big thanks

I don't see a problem with it, unless they are actually made of chicken
Vegetables are fine to reheat, and as far as I know the reason some things are not suitable for freezing is because the freezing process breaks the cells up, so that they are a bit sludgy when they defrost. And since sludge (sorry puree ) is what's going in I don't see a problem.

I'm willing to stand corrected if I'm wrong though...
