Peanut Allergy in Mum

Hi all,

My LO is currently 3.5 months, but I’m starting to research weaning.

I have a peanut allergy and we never have peanut products in the house as a result.

I’m aware of the research that states early introduction of peanut products can prevent an allergic reaction.

My question, does that hold for the child of someone with an allergy? What have other families done?

Thank you so much! 🙏

Yes it applies to someone with a peanut allergy as long as you can provide the exposure without putting yourself at risk.

the study was done on high risk infants. 17% without early exposure developed peanut allergy and 3% with early exposure so pretty convincing.
