Weaning

What did weaning look like for you

What was your routine and how long did it take for you to build up to 3 meals a day? How much milk were they having during this time?

my 6 month old has been introduced to food for about 3 weeks now and has started to show more interest in food since succumbing to BLW! But doesn’t exactly eat a lot. I try to do breakfast daily at least, but sometimes don’t. I try to do either lunch / dinner but sometimes sometimes just can’t be bothered (being honest!) so skip it. I’m worried my approach isn’t good though and that he won’t start eating just solids as quickly as other babies because of this! I just don’t have it in me to do multiple uneaten meals a day!

Whatever works for you.
If baby is awake and you're eating, give them a bit from your plate. You're eating anyway so it's no extra effort. Just be mindful of salt, no honey and no nuts and cut appropriately. Look up Baby led weaning if you haven't already!

My youngest consistently has had 3 meals a day since 8months, but my eldest still hadn't swallowed anything by 8months. They're all different and will take to it differently, too, in the same way they all roll/sit/cruise/walk on their own schedule so do whatever works for you.

Offer milk feeds as you would usually before you started weaning, they'll drop gradually.

Good luck
