Weaning and food allergies

This might seem like a really silly question but can anybody help? I am currently in the process of weaning my 6 month old baby and the health visitor has told me to give my baby any new foods for 3 days running so that I can check for, and eliminate any possible food allergies. I have been doing this for about 3 weeks now. The thing is, when can I stop doing this and just feed my baby new foods without having to do the 3 day test? Any advice greatly appreciated!!!

I'd say that unless your baby has shown any reaction then you're probably ok, especially as many of the first foods that you'd give (fruit/tomatoes etc) do show a reaction.

If you have no family history I wouldn't be worried, although hold off the nuts for a while!
