Hi everyone,
My DD is a pretty good eater with only a few things she's not so keen on, However, all these things need to be mushed up (although she's good with lumps) and on a spoon. Finger food is an absolute no no, if I offer her anything from my fingers or encourage her to do it, she will turn her face away. She goes to nursery 2 days a week and they keep asking me if she is taking any finger food as all the other little ones in the baby room have been for some time. I don't want to make a big deal of it with DD as she;s a good eater and I don't believe in forcing the issue but just wanted to to know if others had experienced with and could offer any insights.

I think its just that everyone is different and she'll have her prefences just like we adults do. Don't worry about it, it just means more work for the nursery nurses when it comes time to eat. I'm sure she'll take to finger food at some point - when she's confronted with some irresistable tasting thing.

I'm sure you're right, was hoping she may develop a taste for it before picnic season
