spitting up solids?!

My DS is almost 6 months and we've been weaning him for the last couple of weeks - we've been doing BLW and he loves it! However I've been slightly alarmed that he sometimes spits up lumps of solids after a meal - he does this a LOT with milk and always has, but I kind of assumed when he started having some solid foods this would stop. He was playing on his tummy before bathtime tonight and puked up milk with a huge chunk of orange in it!

Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

Oh good! Yeah, I've noticed that some foods seem to pass through untouched - I guess it takes a while for their systems to adjust to solid foods...his first food was broccoli and bits of it were turning up in nappies for days afterwards!
