Just that.

So far we're on a few spoonfuls of porridge before her last feed before bed.

Wondering if I should also give her a bit of breakfast too.

Thanks!

Have a look at SR Nutrition on instagram, her advice is really good. She suggests starting with bitter green veg first before moving onto other flavours. Spears of Tenderstem broccoli is great for holding and exploring x

My DD is 6 months next week but I started giving her porridge about 2 weeks ago around lunch time. This week I started giving her boiled mashed up broccoli in the evening which she hasn't liked as much as her porridge but I will continue with it. I'm thinking of introducing a third meal in the next two weeks maybe something like eggs. I'm a first time mum so this is all new to me.

Started weaning with mine about a month ago, he’s nearly 7 months now. He’s not great at getting things into his mouth yet so I offer him something soft like carrots, broccoli, avocado but it inevitably gets dropped in his lap.
I know it’s totally lazy, so I’m not advising it at all but I use the Ella’s kitchen pouches alongside the solid foods so he can start getting used to other flavours. He loves these and will eat a whole sachet, today he had “lamb roast” and yesterday “falafel, sweet potato and humous”. I started with swapping out his late lunch milk with a meal, initially he would still want his milk but now will happily just eat the meal and refuses the milk. Our soon-to-be nanny said to keep going as we are and in a few weeks we can try adding food to another meal. I go back to work next week… eeek!
When he gets better hand to mouth co-ordination I’ll get more adventurous.
