UWhat dairy free milk for baby?

My 7 month old DS has been ebf since birth, GP has asked that I eliminate dairy from my diet due to a stubborn rash on his neck. We obviously don’t have any dairy free formula so I’m unsure what milk to use in cooking porridge etc? I really can’t face the faff of pumping for 98% of it to be tossed on the floor anyway! Is soya or oat milk suitable for a young baby?

I used soya for my first dairy allergy baby but my second is allergic to soya too so I use oat. Personally I prefer the oat milk, the soya is too sweet for me! Both are suitable for adding to food from 6 months and ok to be drunk from 12 months.

Has the dr advised you to remove all dairy from your diet too? Both have mine have reacted to milk protein via breast milk.

Yes I’ve removed dairy from my diet as well. I’ll give oat milk a try!

You can't use Rice Milk until they're 5 and the proteins in Soya Milk are so similar to the proteins in Cow's Milk that LO might react.

I think you're right, Oat Milk seems like a good choice Wink
