Out of interest - because i'm bored, sat watching tv, do people classify the 6 month weaning benchmark by weeks - 24 weeks - or by calendar months - about 26 weeksish?

Just wondered.

no help but I would go on instinct rather than calendar.

6 calendar months - 24 weeks isn't 6 months.

(but it's a "guideline", and not a rule anyway)

oh, i have, but i was just sat here wondering - i'm so bored! and i thought i may as well pose the question.

All the 'official' guidelines state 26 weeks iirc

6 months = 26 weeks

why would you think it was different?

sorry, don't mean to be rude...

round about that time, i think they're ready when they swipe your sandwich.

kekouan, I also thought it went in blocks of 4 weeks until corrected here. 4 weeks is so obviously one way of measuring a month that I don't think it's an odd 'mistake' to make at all! When I had the same question, I couldn't find anything official which specified the time in weeks, everything just said '6 months'...
