When to introduce second meal?

My LO is just over 6 months and I started weaning a couple of weeks ago. He has taken to it very well and is really enjoying it! He will eat a whole apple (puréed), mashed banana (lumpy), he'll eat a whole little fruit or veg pouch in one go etc! This is the opposite of my older child who was not interested for months.

So when should I introduce a second meal? Is it too early to introduce some breakfast as well seeing as he's just over 6 months? He usually has his solids about an hour after his milk. And is currently having 4 bottles a day.

Hi @eatsleeprepeat123 it's fine to introduce the second meal when you want to but there's no rush. The current advice is to introduce the third meal between 8 and 9 months so it doesn't really matter if you introduce the second meal next week or next month. He'll be getting everting he needs from his milk right now Wink
