Is my 14 month old drinking enough milk?

DS has a breast feed before bed and when he wakes up. At nursery he’ll drink 2-4oz of cows milk after his (one) nap. At home he’ll have a breast feed before his (two) naps. That’s it for milk. Does that sound like enough? He’s a good eater but every time I see a toddler with a massive bottle/cup I wonder if we should be giving him more milk.

Sounds fine to me. My DD is 1 this month and only has a 120ml (4oz) bottle in her weetabix in the morning and the same sized bottle at bedtime. She has yogurt, cheese etc throughout the day and the HV wasn't concerned at her last check as I said she was a good eater.

Sounds fine to me too. If he was in Cow's Milk he'd only need 10floz so it sounds as though he's having more than enough Wink

Thanks. I’m pretty sure he’s not getting 6-8oz from the breast, but they do say they need less breast milk than cow’s/formula.

Oh gosh they really do. A large baby under 6 months, say 20 pounds, will need 50 floz of formula a day whereas most BF babies will be taking 25 Floz at that age, whether they're large or small as the milk will change to suit the baby's needs, just like yours will be Wink
