Wholemeal toast is better, especially if you have a bread maker and can use minimum salt. Eggs, fruit, yoghurt, oatcakes with peanut butter, cheese, pancakes, etc. . Really wouldn’t worry about it. Porridge is good but weetabix isn’t all that.

Only on Mumsnet is porridge not a good breakfast 🙄

But it's also just one of many breakfasts! Toast, yogurt, fruit, plenty of baby muffin recipes online that are only sweetened only with fruit, eggs...

Wow, thank you all for responses!
Very varied and mixed opinions 😅😅

ok maybe I’ve been stressing for no reason then..

he will eat yoghurt with fruit - no issue
or pancakes and fruit
toast is a easy winner
he will eat eggy bread too

i don’t know why I’ve got in my own head about porridge/cereal so much 😅☹️

happy to take on any other breakfast suggestions. Again, thank you all for your meaningful contributions

If your 10 month old will eat all that I really wouldn't be worried, can be very varied with that. I was the worst as a toddler with food. The pickiest of picky eaters and only really did beige. Didn't get much better until I was over 18. Diet now much better, more varied, no diabetes or anything. Teeth also all fine despite my diet of chicken nuggests, dinosaurs, chips, pasta and pizza 😂

It sounds like he prefers drier textured stuff and feeding himself then. Does he drink some milk with his breakfast ? The milk in his cup is probably equivalent to the milk that you would have added to his porridge or cereal.

Hiya

no he’s exclusively breastfed, won’t even drink breastmilk out of a cup lol
so he gets his milk either side of food
