My 11 month old is driving me to distraction. The weaning process has been going really well. He started on foods well, progressed through the stages and drinking less milk. (But just doesn't want to feed himself - what he finds on the floor, straight into his mouth - food, anywhere else but in his mouth!!)
But the last few weeks have been really difficult. Some days he eats really well, other days only one of the 3 meals a day will be sufficient (in my opinion). He will have a bottle mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
He will also have one as he's going to sleep, or about half an hour after he's gone down - doesn't always take the bottle well as he goes to sleep.
The problem is THE NUMBER OF TIMES HE WAKES UP WANTING MILK!!! (Sorry for yelling!!)
Instead of getting less frequent, its actually getting more frequent. Last night he woke up another 4 times wanting milk, and drinking 5-7 ounces each time.
I feel as though my sleep deprivation is getting worse instead of better....!!!!
I try to give him more fluids during the day, but he plays with the cup of water/juice more than drinks from it. I already give him the milk between meals.
What else should/can I do???
