Toddler gaining weight

My 16 month old has just gone up to 75th percentile for weight (while 40th for height).
before was always 40-50th for both.

min worried he is gaining too much weight or is this normal?
I thought it was fine but everyone keeps commenting how big he is and a few people have said it is not normal.
he easts a lot but eats all his fruit and veggies too so I’ve always thought it was good that he is not fussy and will eat variety.
he is always hungry. But also active. I think he does eat until he is really full.

but he easts the same as me for breakfast. A whole slice of whole meal toast with peanut butter and a whole banana/whole apple for example. Sometimes he will eat some of my fruit too!
or two whole weetabix and fruit.
is it too much?! Or is it ok?
he doesn’t drink all his milk these days and occasionally he doesn’t want a meal and I don’t offer anything else because I think he’s obviously not hungry at that time so I don’t push it.
I have struggled with binge eating so I worry I pass this on to him and trying my best to be relaxed about food etc.
so I can’t tell if I’m overthinking it all.

please help me :)

When you say he doesn't drink all of his milk, how much milk are you offering and which type? Wink

Ok so it doesn't sound like he's having much over the 300 ml?

Could he just be about to grow? My DS would often chub up and just when I was thinking I'd have to do something about it he'd grow another couple of inches.

My DS was constantly ravenous between approx 14-20 months. He probably eats slightly less now at 2.5years than he did then.

As long as he’s having a healthy balanced diet, give him as much food as he wants.

Also ignore other people. I was once told in the very same day that my DS was “very small” and also “very big” by two separate people!

Definitely not having more than 300ml or even if that.
he was slow to start weaning but ever since he’s gotten it he just constantly eats.

I give him a whole apple or pear, without cutting it or peeling it, because it takes him a long time to eat and then he’s not constantly wanting something else.

or distracting him a lot through out the day.

its hardest when I have to cook or do a chore and he’s just crying for food :(
He does eat a lot of variety so that’s good but everybody always pointing it out to me as if they think I shouldn’t give him so much.

he does a little happy dance every time he gets food which is cute

Oh this is reassuring thanks.
his diet is balanced I think, and he is very active too! Actually people do always comment on how busy he is too.
