How do I get Mr Sweet Tooth to eat his veggies?

We do a combo of finger food and purees for my 9month old, who started off as a really good eater but now he just only seems to want to eat fruit. He loves his oranges, apple puree, bananas etc, but is rejecting most other stuff, even his old favourites. Do I drop the fruit and just offer savoury stuff for a couple of weeks in the hope that his sweet tooth will fade, or should I just go with the flow and hope the stage passes?

have you tried roasted fingers or sweeter veg like carrot, sweet potato, squash etc?

Could you gradually blend sweet/savory so each time there is less sweet/more savory?

and fwiw I wouldnt worry too much as he will be getting lots of vitamins from all that lovely fruit!

I suppose at least he is eating, but I worry that if I don't do something now he'll always have a sweet tooth, and we'll be battling to get him to eat his veggies for years to come....(over anxious mother....me??)
