Family friendly dairy free options that 7 month old can self feed

My husband, 3 year old, baby and I eat as many of our meals together as we are able to. Our son is now 7 months and has CMPA. He's very keen to self feed. He manages loaded spoons of purees well and likes to chew on finger foods, especially things spread on toast and pieces of fruit. When I try to just give him a bit of our meals (eg putting some spaghetti and bolognaise sauce on his tray) he struggles. I'd love your ideas for dairy free meals we could all enjoy. Thanks!

Do you think it's the texture of the Spag bol that he's objecting to?

May well be. He hasn't liked pasta at all yet (strange boy!). He has enjoyed a little of the bolognaise sauce on pre-loaded spoons but I'd like to encourage him to eat things that save me from having to load the spoon... but I also don't want to have to make something separate for him.

I used to do lots of roast dinners - sticks of roasted sweet potato, roast potato, strips of chicken, whatever green veg, carrots etc!

That's a good idea @Wren77 so long as the summer doesn't pick up. I've made some tray bakes and he's enjoyed chewing on bits of chicken.
