6 month old weaning and reflux.

Hello everyone

I've recently started weaning my 6 month old. She suffers from reflux and certain things can flare it up.

Does anyone have a list of vegetables/fruit that I could start with that are "ok" for reflux babies? And then maybe eventually move on to others(?).

Thank you

Oh I don't know if there's a particular list.

My refluxy baby was fine with different foods. Turned out his "reflux" had been Tongue tie all along.

My baby (7mth) has reflux - I've found she gets upset/posset after fruit - so I don't give her any fruit apart from melon and avocado.
If anything weaning has been really good for her and seems to have eased the reflux a bit
She is on omeprazole however.

Thank you both. @GingerLiberalFeminist @SiouxsieSiouxStiletto

My little one isn't on medication for it but when she has a flare up it's shocking 🙈 that's my worry - fruit! I want her to be able to enjoy it but I've found most fruit is acidic and not very great for reflux!

Glad weaning has helped the reflux for yours though!

There isn’t really a list of safe foods tbh. You still want baby to experience many different tastes and textures. The reflux should really start to improve as they get bigger. Especially when they start sitting up more etc. As long as baby is happy and putting on weight then reflux can be more of a laundry problem.
