9 months disinterested in solids & water

At 9 months our daughter hardly takes much solids except the morning porridge with half mashed banana. Milk offered has reduced from 800-900ml per day to 600-700ml now but still
no increase in solids intake. Offer variety of solids, different textures etc, but no luck. Worried if she’s getting enough nutrients. Getting about 5 dirty nappies a day. Not keen on water either! 🙄She’s active but just can’t figure out why doesn’t want solids…

Anyone out there who faced similar issues at this age? What was the solution, if any??

10 month old here. It seems every baby I hear about us on 3 solid meals a day and moving off milk!
We have been gradual with DD. She has had a lot of viruses and not wanted to eat.
We offer porridge and toast but she has never eaten them.
She has one jar or pouch followed by a yogurt at tea time.
I allow nursery to offer her food every meal but she is just not fussed.
She sometimes nibbles what we have for tea.
I will worry more when she is a bit older but for now I prefer knowing how much milk/ jar she has.
I just keep offering bits but not bothering to make meals. For example tried strawberries yesterday and she loved them but fishcakes today was a no.
I will raise it with Dr at 1 year appointment to see what they think.
Hopefully you find a favourite food!

If it helps OP my eldest didn't eat any solids at all until around 12 months. I offered finger food at every meal, it mostly got chucked around 😂 I understand how worrying it can be but until around one it's completely normal. Mine was a total milk monster I don't think he could be arsed with food!

Thank you! Yes it’s somewhat of a relief to hear others going through similar challenges. I also hear babies having 3 meals or 8/12 tablespoons(!!) of food daily and I wonder where am I going wrong…

So if they don’t take much solids at all, how much milk intake is recommended at this age? I am getting obsessed with numbers 🤓

We make 210ml bottles and do 4 per day and do a pouch or jar at teatime then bottle before bed.
At the moment I'm trying to make sure she has a small fruit pouch or yogurt about 11am so she eats at different times.
