Hello

First time I’ve posted on here so thanks in advance for your help!

My little girl is nearly 10 months and loves her formula milk but does not enjoy mealtimes because she often gags and then very quickly her previous bottle comes up. To me it’s like she cannot handle lumps of any kind - the other morning I gave her Ella’s Kitchen rice pudding which is relatively smooth and it made her gag and was then sick.

I was making meals for her from various baby cookbooks as I enjoy cooking myself but seeing her throwing it up became very disheartening so I moved to pouches.

Weird as she can handle melty puff things and the hard Heinz biscuits but not any ‘fresh’ finger food - broccoli, sweet potatoes, egg… nothing! All just comes up very quickly.

She does love smooth things such as yogurt and can keep them down.

Any advice would be much appreciated. I did see a HV but unfortunately they didn’t offer much useful advice on this occasion.

Thank you!

Has your baby been checked for tongue tie? This sounds exactly like my baby and he has a tongue tie with reduced oral function

I was going to ask the same. DS was exactly like this.

@PinkMimosa did you get the tie revised? My baby has already had 2 divisions and it reattached twice. I decided to leave it alone but now facing challenges weaning
