Tinned fruit

I am wondering if tinned fruit is ok / just as good to give my DD as fresh fruit. I want to give more peach etc, but when they are not in season they are expensive to buy and pretty tasteless in the supermarket. Obviously I would choose fruit in natural juice not syrup. Do other people use tinned stuff? Sorry if this is a silly question. Also - had my first encounter with papaya today and it reminded me of that vomit fruit they eat on I'm a celebrity. Was mine gone off or is it all a bit like that?

i used tinned fruit a lot with my 2.

think maybe it was a dodgy papaya!

The papaya should be lovely so if it wasn't.......

Tinned in juice is OK - why not try some of the frozen fruit - they are great & you can have 2 or 3 sorts & just defrost enough for one meal so she doesn't get bored

Ds loves tinned mandarins, they are great as they come properly 'segmented' ie no pith or anything. And they are easy to mash too!

Yes must agree bbw - tinned pineapple seems so much harder than fresh.
