7 month old hates water

I’ve been trying to get LO sipping water at meal times for over a month now and she still flat out refuses to drink it. I’ve tried various cups but she just turns her head, let’s it dribble out her mouth or more recently, retches as if she’s being water boarded.

I read on NHS you can try diluted fruit juice which I wanted to avoid but now am wondering if I should try it to get her interested then gradually dilute it back to water. Has this worked for anyone or any other tips?!

I didn't try the diluted fruit juice, although I was tempted believe me. But then they sort of got it and have been drinking water ever since.

Just keep offering. At 7 months they're likely to be receiving the fluids they need from either your milk or the formula fir now Wink

Water down milk rather than juice ?

If your child is thirsty she will drink water. Would not recommend diluting juice at all. They'll get hooked on it
