Can I do blw if I started off with purees?

I started weaning ds on pureed fruit and veg and baby rice, but reading more and more about blw I really like the idea and want to try it. Is it ok to start even though ds' first solids have been pureed? Will he be confused by the introduction of finger foods?

A lot of people do a combination v successfully. I'm mostly a puree woman myself but dd3 has coped well with fingers of toast, lumps of Yorkshire Pudding, wedges of veg etc from very early on in the food journey

Yep - I did combo no problem.
Had started with some mashed up stuff and then dd helped herself off our plates so we carried on with both

cool, thanks for that. Been checking out Aitch's blog and i love all the cute pictures of babies with chunks of melon and broccoli. Want my ds to have some of that action!
